Isle Royale & the Sleeping Giant Expedition
Hidden in the northwestern waters of Lake Superior lies a remote and extraordinary destination: Isle Royale National Park. This isolated island chain encompasses 132,000+ acres of federally protected wilderness—one large island surrounded by more than 450 smaller ones—all nestled within the world’s largest freshwater lake.
Set sail on an unforgettable expedition, where miles of pristine wilderness, a sturdy sailboat, and a seasoned captain come together to offer a truly immersive experience.
What to Expect
This is a sail training expedition, and all participants are encouraged to be actively involved in:
Standing watch
Navigation
Sail handling
Onboard duties like cooking and cleaning
This trip is ideal for those looking to gain real offshore sailing experience while immersing themselves in Lake Superior’s most breathtaking and secluded waters.

💰 Rate: $650 per day
Important Note:
Participants must have a valid passport or enhanced driver’s license. A Remote Border Crossing Permit (RBCP) is also required to enter Canadian waters. This is simple to obtain, and we’ll provide detailed instructions to guide you through the process.
